Space Association of Turkic States was created during UN/ Austria/ESA Symposium - "Enhancing the Participation of Youth in Space Activities - implementing recommendations of UNISPACE III "Hosted by the Government of Austria (Graz, Austria 17 to 20 September 2001). Its members are 4 states: Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. The association was created with the purpose of increasing an involvement of youth to the space activity, for cooperation and solution of questions in sphere of space activities between these states.
